To provide students with education that protects them today and helps them act with thought for their own futures, safeguarding their opportunities to find suitable employment along with protecting their reputations.

To develop both the understandings and the skills required to use the Internet appropriately in order to reduce the chances for harm to occur to the student, their family and friends.

Teaching young people how to protect an employer’s online identity as well as their own. Preparing students for employment before they become employees is vital in a digital world. Today’s young graduates have large online social networks, multiple blog accounts, multiple profiles created and forgotten about and numerous other online accounts.

Educating young people about the importance of social media policies and how to manage online communication when inside or outside the organisations perimeter is vital as it protects both the employer and the employee.

The philosophy of the education

The intention of this education is to help the student learn to make informed ethical decisions founded on common decency and reasonable standards of right and wrong.

  • TTL events: cyber v real
  • Scrubbing
  • Sexting
  • Real-world theft/Identity theft
  • Damaged reputations: accidental & deliberate

Topics include:

Sexual Abuse/Personal Safety

Identifying ways in which predators actively target individuals via the Internet and developing the skills and knowledge required to lessen the opportunity for that to occur.


Future-proofing students by increasing their knowledge about how specific behaviours adopted today will lessen their chances at interview time. Strategies are also discussed that teach the student how to manage an online identity in preparation for employment and as an employee.

Real-World Theft/Identity Theft

Teaching students to understand how certain types of out-bound information that they or their friends submit via digital communication devices can allow predators/criminals to find and attack homes or individuals for the purpose of stealing family assets including money.

Duration: 3.5 hours, can be formatted to suit. Includes 30 minute break.
